Shirring

Shirring transforms long rolls of sausage casings into compact sticks, optimizing the production process. This method reduces filling time, enhances efficiency, and simplifies the handling of small production batches with precisely controlled quantities.
The casings are compressed into spools with a standard length of 25 meters, facilitating operations and minimizing the need for frequent roll changes.
Shirring can be performed on both dry casings and moistened (RTU – ready-to-use) casings, depending on the material's specific requirements. By utilizing advanced technologies and precise processes, each casing is evenly shirred with optimal tension. This ensures the wide applicability of shirred casings in producing various types of sausages.
